#100happydays

Summer is by far my most favorite season. Whether I'm sitting on the beach with a good book, toes in the sand and ocean waves gently crashing in the distance or sitting on the back porch with a glass of wine and good conversation with family and friends, I just can't get enough of the sunshine and smell of flowers and fresh cut grass in the air. It's pure bliss.

But as the days slowly get shorter, and school days are upon us, I can't help to get excited and feel inspired by the amazing color palette that fall brings. When the leaves turn color my yard looks like a painters canvas. It's stunningly beautiful.

So, although summer makes me happiest, I find inspiration in the other seasons to keep that bright spirit up the rest of the year! Happiness that comes from within and radiates outward from our soul. So to prepare myself for the close of my favorite season, I'm reminded that it is the little things in life that bring us true happiness. This is why I decided to embark on the #100happydays challenge. Check out the website. I find it truly inspirational!

Each day I've been posting something that makes me happy on one of my social media sites. Today, I share with you. And since this is a beauty blog, what better place than to post Day 17. Color! I could spend all day walking through the isles of Sephora swooning over the shades of polish. They make me so happy! Hey, it's the little things in life.

Color! I'm inspired by colors each season, and as fall is upon us, here are some ideas to put a pop of a fall inspired color on your nails!

Like Deborah Lippmann's New York Marquee collection. This juicy magenta 12th Street Rag? Don't mind if I do!

Or this deep indigo blue Harlem Nocturne....

Or Le Vernis by Chanel...

And who could resist any one of these from NARS....hmmmmm....I'll take one of each please!

Although I'm sad to see summer go, I think a fresh coat of paint on my nails (and maybe a pumpkin or 2) will keep me going through the season.

What beauty color are you inspired for this fall?
